| Mrs. McCoy was born January 21, 1919 in Tupelo, Mississippi, daughter of Robert Bevie Dyer and Alma Ellen (Jenkins) Dyer. She served as the Food Service Director at Hughes High School for thirty- five years. Mrs. McCoy and her husband, John T., were members of the Hughes First Baptist Church, and they were owners and operators of the St. Francis Café for many years. In addition to her professional association with the Hughes school, Mr. and Mrs. McCoy were also HHS parents, their children being Betty J. (’61), Dot (‘65), and John D. (‘73). Mrs. McCoy died July 28, 2010 at Hot Springs, Arkansas, interment in Crittenden Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion. |
