| Miss Wilson was born in Augusta, Woodruff County, Arkansas, to Luther and Eunice (Spradlin) Wilson. She received the B.S.E. Degree from Arkansas State College in Jonesboro, after which she taught elementary in Leachville, Arkansas. After a year at Leachville, Miss Wilson accepted a position as fourth grade teacher with the Hughes school system in 1948, and she remained at Hughes for seven years. It is not known where Miss Wilson went after her time at Hughes, but it is known that she eventually returned to her hometown of Augusta, where she died on March 1, 1967, burial in the Augusta Memorial Park Cemetery. |
